Pro Football Player Cut for Losing His Mojo

The place kicker for the Dallas Cowboys, Mike Vanderjagt, was cut from the Dallas Cowboys last week after agreeing to a multi-million dollar contract this off season with the team.

He came to the team as the most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL and the Cowboys, who believed they lost at least three games last year because of their kicking game, saw him as one of the pieces that they needed to make a run to the playoffs and a championship this season.

Vanderjagt lost his mojo; went into a slump, started missing easy kicks and looking frustrated. I thought I knew what the problem was. I checked the customer list and sure enough, there was the answer.

Unfortunately, the Cowboys didn't know that Vanderjagt hadn't purchased Secrets of the Shaolin Temple, available at http://www.shaolinsecrets.com.

No wonder he was missing kicks you or I could have made. He couldn't keep his head quiet.

In Secrets of the Shaolin Temple, the Monks repeatedly teach and refer to a "quiet mind" along with how to develop one and how it helps you in training and in combat.

If Vanderjagt had this information, he would have been able to use the exercises, clear his mind and start kicking like the professional he used to be.

For now, he'll be looking for work, wondering where his mojo went while another kicker (who incidentally does have Secrets of the Shaolin Temple) continues to kick game-winners for the Cowboys and resurrect his career.

Don't lose your mojo. Go to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and get your Secrets of the Shaolin Temple.

How to Climb a Mountain Like a Shaolin Monk

I received an e-mail from a reader the other day that I thought was worth addressing today.

In the e-mail, the reader asked how it could be good for the Shaolin Monks if they trained all the time. He wanted to know about over-training or the risk of injury.

It's an excellent question. Here's the answer: they listen to their bodies.

It's important to understand that martial arts training with the leaping, jumping, rotating, punching and kicking is a much different workout than weightlifting.

Weightlifting tears down muscles and wears down joints because it's not natural; it isn't the body using itself to build and get stronger.

In the wild you don't see animals doing sets and reps; they just go until they are tired and can't go anymore, then they rest.

Gymnasts are a great example of this - they have arguably the best builds of any athletes that move and are pound-for-pound some of the strongest...and they don't lift weights.

While training at the Shaolin Temple last summer, I didn't see anyone doing anything but using their bodies. Sure, they were doing handstand and fingertip push-ups, jumping up out of holes to practice leaping and other far-out things, but no weights.

Let me tell you about something I saw that was amazing and will drive this home for you.

One morning I decided to walk up to Da Mo's cave on the top of Song Mountain. Da Mo was the monk credited with traveling over the mountains from Tibet to the Shaolin Temple and teaching the monks meditation and exercise.

He is famous for having sat and meditated, staring at a wall in the cave...for nine straight years. Wow.

The entrance to the path to his cave was about 100 yards from the Temple. From start to finish, it took me about an hour to get to the top. And the steps I used were OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured.

These things were not OSHA approved. Unevenly spaced, too short to put your whole foot on, cracking, one missing once in awhile...not too safe. It made it very difficult to get to the top.

It was the middle of summer so the air was so thick with humidity you could see it. I was drenched with sweat and as I was walking up (at about nine in the morning) and what I saw next made me think that I might be hallucinating...

Monks, from the Temple, racing up the steps...on their hands AND feet.

They raced all the way up...and then back down while Bear Crawling. I could not believe it. My legs were gassed and these guys were making it look easy.

That afternoon, I went to the Temple for an afternoon training session. My legs were still shaking like the Republicans before the Democrats take over both Houses and guess what I see in the courtyard....

Yep; those same Monks leading us in training. I'm standing over there about to drop and these guys are still going.

The next day was the real surprise. My legs, which I thought would be sore as you-know-what, felt great. They were springy, full of energy and I had a great workout.

You can have this same kind of energy and not worry about overtraining. Get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and get Secrets of the Shaolin Temple.

Then you'll be able to race up mountainsides on your hands and feet...if you feel like it.

Best,

William Huff

Have You Ever Had One of Those Moments...

Have you ever had what is referred to as an, "Ah-ha!" moment.

You know - one of those moments when you literally feel like something just hit you upside your head.

I mean...whaaap! And then you get the big smile on your face as you say to yourself, "Ah-ha...I got it."

That happened to me this morning as I was working on some new products that will be coming out very soon.

Every once in awhile when I am working with instructors or students of the martial arts, I'll run into a situation where the person doesn't "Get It".

Most of the time what we are trying to accomplish isn't complicated. As some politicians say, "it's not rocket surgery".

So I was chewing on this situation, thinking back to all the times I didn't "Get It" and what it was that was in my way...and it hit me right upside the old noggin.

It was this One Thing. One Thing that when you Get It, you apply it to everything else you ever do...and it makes whatever you apply it to take off like a rocket.

What is the One Thing? I'm not gonna tell you - right now. But I have mentioned it before...and the new products that are coming out are going to be filled with this One Thing.

So much so that you won't want to miss it.

In the meantime, get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and get the first volume of Secrets of the Shaolin Temple. It also has examples and explanations of this One Thing...

Who knows...maybe you'll be able to unravel the mystery of this One Thing before I release the new stuff.

Best,

William Huff

P.S. - While you're racking your brain about this One Thing, get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and get Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I. It'll get you a head start on what this One Thing is.

What You Could Have in Common with the 400 Richest Americans

This month's Forbes Magazine listed their annual 400 Richest People in America piece.

For the first time ever, everyone on it was a billionaire, not a millionaire.

That's million...with a "B". Lots and lots of zeroes in a billion.

Here's why this list is important to you and me. Twenty of the billionaires on the list were asked a list of twenty questions as a way to find out about who they are, what their opinions and experiences are, and how they think.

Their answers were wide and varied. Some said you don't need a college degree or MBA; others said it would give you a foundation.

Some said they prayed; most didn't. Almost all of them listed a failure that taught them something. Almost all of them had a mentor that they looked up to or taught them the ropes.

Many said to follow your passions. Find out what you're good at and like to do and figure out a way to make money doing that.

One of them said the best benefit to being the boss was getting others to do the stuff you hate to do. Amen to that one.

But here's what was the most interesting. Guess what question they all answered the exact same way. All of them.

That's right...they all have Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I.

Okay...I used a little "creative license" on that one. They didn't say that.

They did say that they exercised at least five times a week; some said every single day. I think the youngest guy on the list was in his forties so these guys must be in pretty good shape to be working out that much.

You may be saying to yourself, "Self, that's all well and good, but I ain't a billionaire or millionaire; I've got a job, responsibilities, a family, blah-blah-blah..."

I know. Me, too. That's why it's even more important for us to take care of ourselves and find a way to exercise daily. Keep our energy up, be sharp and focused so we can get the most out of our lives.

For our careers, for our families...and for ourselves.

Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I has many different exercises for building energy, gaining strength and helping you learn the basics of the martial arts. Get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and learn for yourself all the hidden secrets of health that are waiting for you.

Who knows - maybe it will give you the energy and catapult you on the 400 Richest in America list.

Best,

William Huff

P.S. - Seriously, I don't know about you but I know that I physically start to feel depressed and out of energy if I miss two or more days of working out. If you are putting in 60-plus hour weeks like I am, you can't afford not to be exercising and using the secrets in Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I. Get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com today.

Getting Mad is Good

I while back I wrote about how sometimes getting good and p@#$ed off was good for you and would sometimes get your rear in gear.

That point was driven home this morning as I was in a meeting with a bunch of guys I work with.

We were going around the room talking about what they had been doing in their businesses for the End of the Year push.

One of the guys asked if he could tell his story about what happened to him. He had set up an all day sale for last Saturday with appointments for people to come in and take advantage of some huge savings. He was scheduled to do thousands of dollars that day.

When I talked to him on the phone yesterday and asked him how it went, he said he made four hundred bucks. Practically everyone no-showed him.

He said that after he got off the phone with me, something happened.

He got mad. Steamed. Miffed. P.O'd. Torqued. Got his undies in a bundle.

So mad that he did something that was, for him, out of character.

He got on the phone, started calling the people who no-showed him...and politely but aggressively sold them something.

He didn't take no for and answer and just yesterday he bumped his totals into the thousands of dollars.

I asked him what made the difference; why was he able to get people to buy now and not in the past.

His answer..."I just got p@#$ed. I wasn't going to take no for an answer. I wasn't going to lose."

Wow. We gave him a round of applause.

Then I asked him if he read a new book, studied a new tape or had learned any other "secret" technique that helped him to do better.

"No" he said, "It was everything I had already been taught and knew to do. I just had to get fired up to make it happen and DO IT."

Amen to that.

In Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I there is lesson after lesson on attitude, focus, mindset and more.

In these volumes there is a "Secret" revealed that is so powerful, only two Masters I know of have spoken of it, and that was only with me in private.

They both said the same thing when I asked if the "Secret" I had stumbled across was what I thought it was.

They both said, "Do not tell anyone else this. They must find it on their own. If they can discover it on their own, then they are ready for it."

So, in order for you to get on your way to discovering this "secret", get good and mad at yourself for not having Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I yet and get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com.

Best,

William Huff

P.S. - At http://www.shaolinsecrets.com, you can learn about this "Secret" and many more. With the exception of the Shaolin Temple itself, this is the only place in the world where you can have access to the ancient scrolls that make up the training manuals of the Legendary Shaolin Monks of China.

Get Your Hand Out of the Cookie Jar

My sister called me the other day to let me know that she and her three children are coming to visit in January.

I have two perfect and beautiful nieces, seven and four, along with a brand new nephew who's about 7 months old now.

While my sister and I talked, we got on the subject of some of the funnier moments growing up when she and I got into trouble with Mom and Dad.

One of her favorite stories is of me, being caught in the kitchen right before dinner, standing on stool (which I had to manhandle over to the counter to reach what I was going after) with my arm stuck up to my elbow in the cookie jar and my mouth full of cookies.

Upon seeing this, My Mom yells, "Junior, what do you think you're doing...and what are you eating", to which I, suspended in mid-cookie snatching and crumbs dribbling down my face replied...

"Nothing."

Classic.

Her story jarred my memory about a Winston Churchill quote a read recently. Not because Sir Winston was a cookie snatcher; but because he was talking about how man can tell himself stories...and believes them.

Sir Winston said, "Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened."

Have you ever done this to yourself...or are you doing it right now.

I had lunch with a very close friend yesterday and we both discovered that we were fibbing to ourselves in two very important areas.

After we talked about telling the truth to ourselves, and then admitted what both had been doing, something amazing happened.

We both felt great. Relieved. Like totally different people.

What was even better was the fact that once we admitted it, we both were immediately happier and more motivated to deal with the very thing we had been lying to ourselves about.

I couldn't believe it. It felt like I had put down a big bag of bricks. As we left the restaurant, we looked at each other and just started laughing.

In Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I, available at http://www.shaolinsecrets.com, they teach the principles and techniques that talk of having a focused mind and a pure heart.

When they are talking about pure, they aren't talking in religious sense, but in truthful sense.

You know when you are "on target" and being truthful with yourself, and when you are in the cookie jar.

You can tell but that feeling in your gut; that anxiousness or uneasy feeling you get when you aren't "on target" - very similar feeling to when you were a kid and got caught doing something naughty.

Look at what you have going on right now; check out if any area of your life gives you "that feeling".

If there is something...

Then get your hand out of the cookie jar.

Best,

William Huff

P.S. - even thought they don't have cookie jars at the Shaolin Temple, the teachings they reveal in Secrets of the Shaolin Temple Volume I will change your martial arts skills and your life forever. Get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and see for yourself.

Let Your Mind Breathe

I'm getting ready to leave this week for my once per year vacation and let me say for the record that I cannot wait.

And I do mean vacation. Not a trip that involves business, family, real estate or a seminar of some sort. No martial arts, no nothing. V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N.

Some people confuse going to a seminar or traveling to another city or state to look at real estate as a vacation. Nope, that's working.

How many times do you take a vacation and you're thinking about the office, and then when you get back to the office, you're thinking about vacation.

That's not taking a vacation

Some people think that you should be working constantly. That vacations are over-rated and the problem with people today is that they don't want to work.

That's a conversation for another day.

Each year, regardless of what's happening, my wife and I take ten days or more to travel to Cozumel, Mexico, home to some of the best scuba diving in the world.

I don't take the cell phone, I barely check e-mail and I spend all the time diving, enjoying the local cuisine and company, and letting my mind breathe.

That's right; breathe.

Making time for your mind to breathe is the most important thing that you can do for your health, wealth and happiness.

Taking time to "Stop all the noise" and just let your mind free flow can lead to breakthroughs and discoveries that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

There's a law of economics called the 80/20 Rule. It's a universal principle that basically says that 80% of what you get will come from 20% of what you do.

And it's true. In everything. 80% of your income comes from 20% of what you do; the other 80% of what you do is busy-work, or not important.

If you own a business, 80% of your income will come from 20% of your clients, with the rest of your clients making up the other 20% of income.

80% of your happiness in a relationship will come from 20% of what you do and the time you spend together.
It's this principle that also drives home why you have to take time off to chill.

When you do this, you free your mind of all the junk. The stress, the constant "buzz" of life in general and really let it loose to wander.

When you do this, you will be amazed at the ideas, "ah ha" moments and thoughts that will come up, re-energizing you and getting you focused in a good direction.

When I'm on vacation, I just relax and let my mind wander. I watch people and what they do. I try to notice everything that goes on around me. I watch people's behaviors and tell myself to stay "open" to any notions or ideas that pop in my head, no matter how silly or off-the-wall they may be.

And every time, I get an idea (more like a half dozen) that I can apply to business or another area and improve my life.

Every time I come back form this vacation, I am fired up to get home and get back in the game. I've always got fresh ideas, tons of energy and I am ready to go kick some a#$ when I get off the plane.

So this Holiday season or as soon as you can, take some time off...

And let your mind breathe.

Best,

William Huff

P.S. - You do need reading material on the plane and while you are on vacation, so get over to http://www.shaolinsecrets.com and get Secrets of the Shaolin Temple, so you can learn directly from the Shaolin Temple how they train the Legendary Shaolin Monks of China.
